Earl Wood
Licensed Associate Professional Counselor
As a counselor, I am passionate about helping people find the healing and growth they yearn for through emulating the love of Jesus. I believe the clients are the experts in their own lives, and I treat them eclectically. My theoretical orientation perspectives are Humanistic, Attachment, CBT, Mindfulness, Choice, and Existential theories/therapies. I modify, mold, bend, and blend these into a concise and holistic lens to help each client with their individual growth.
I am honest and direct and use these as strengths in my sessions with my clients. I believe that we are more alike than different; we are all made in the Image of God. Because of this, I believe that developing a deeper union with God is paramount for true healing to be achieved. I wish to help celebrate clients for who they are and to come alongside them in their journey towards self-actualization. I get to know and understand my clients to help them as best as possible. Collaboration is key when it comes to therapy, my clients must take agency for change and be self-motivated.
