Kim Satterberg
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Welcome to Valley Christian Counseling and Wellness. I pray that this bio provides you clarity for whether we will be a good fit to work together.
A quote from one of my favorite stories says, “I loved you even as you sang the song that broke you.”
Despite our circumstances, God loves us and desires our healing through Jesus (John 3:17). He removes our shame (Rom 5:5).
Together we will walk through whatever issues are bringing distress and shame. Using a variety of therapeutic tools, we will consider the mind, body, spirit, emotions, and relationships and how they contribute to hurts and health. My prayer is that you will find clarity, peace and strength through our work together.
Therapy Style–
When you come into my practice, you can expect warmth and support balanced with appropriate challenges and honesty. We do not simply talk about your week. Couples can expect to work hard and take equal responsibility with no one being blamed. I will help you identify your goals, and provide you quality mental health care to help you achieve the clarity, healing and tools you need to live life and relationships with greater satisfaction.
Personal–
I am originally from Onalaska, WI. I have been married to my husband for 18 years, and we have four children. My husband has been pastoring in the Covenant Church for 17 years. I enjoy running, hiking, camping, gardening, and having a cup of coffee with friends. Our children are in a variety of activities, so we keep busy attending various musical and sporting events. I also have 12 years experience homeschooling.
