May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
It is truly an honor to support our community by providing Christ-centered mental health services. Each year, we intentionally work to reduce stigma around mental health challenges by creating an environment where people can pursue true wholeness in God.
Mental health challenges do not discriminate and can affect anyone. Just as we can experience positive or negative physical health, the same is true for our mental health. It is something we must consistently and intentionally tend to in order to experience lasting wellness.
If today you would say you are struggling with your mental health, remember we serve a mighty God who is in the business of bringing healing and restoration. Psalm 19:7a says, “The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul.” Psalm 23:3 says, “He restores my soul.” Spend time with the One who brings life to the deepest parts of your soul. Give Him your thoughts, your feelings, and your pain. He meets you there and replaces them with His supernatural peace.
If you would say you are doing fairly well with your mental health, now is the time to establish rhythms that help you sustain it. Don’t wait for your mental health to decline before putting intentional habits in place.
